Ian joined TVT in February 2015 as CEO. He has been instrumental in enabling the rapid expansion of the company, strengthening the management team with the appointment of a number of leading industry players with global expertise and experience.
Under Ian’s leadership, TVT has achieved enormous revenue growth, securing important contracts with broadcasters, content owners and TV service providers around the world. He has also driven the delivery of a number of key service offerings, including the launch of ContentSelect, the company’s innovative content management platform, and the formalisation of a full Access Services Business unit in June 2017. On July 12 2017, he spearheaded TVT’s game-changing acquisition of DMC, extending the company’s overall leadership position and bringing together an end-to-end content services and logistics offering.
Prior to joining TVT, Ian was head of Broadcast and Media Services in the UK at Ericsson. He helped to shape Ericsson’s entry into the media services market and was instrumental in its acquisition of Red Bee Media in 2014. He has previously held a number of senior positions in media businesses, including Chairman and CEO of DailyMotion, CEO at Qype (a social media and recommendations creator), Commercial Director at Red Bee Media and international roles at BT and AT&T.
Ian holds a BA in English and Politics, and an MBA from Warwick Business School (University of Warwick) and attended the Corporate Finance Programme at London Business School.
